FRG is a busy airport with a mix of light piston-singles and multi-engine airplanes. Business jets and turbo-props are ever-present with regular departures and arrivals. Sunny weekends, especially warm weekends, attract many pilots to line-up the taxiways waiting for take-off clearance. Practice-area to the south will be buzzing with activity. Stay alert! Knowing your position and where you're going and... being able to communicate effectively with ground and tower personnel will allow for a pleasant experience. Come on in and visit the 56th Fighter Group Restaurant and the American Airpower Museum which are both located on the field. Call for details. SheltAir and Atlantic both provide fuel. Landing fee is $2.50.

As of the date of this posting, the airport diagram still reflects the taxiways prior to all of the new construction. I assume the construction is on-going therefore changes haven't been made to the airport diagram yet. Get progressive taxi instructions if you're unfamiliar with the layout or if you arrive at night. It's a great airport but it requires attention to detail. The controllers are top notch and they expect you to be too.

A busy airport, on weekends when the weather is good, its a great airport thought with great ATC, as long as you do what they tell you, The controllers can get a bit annoyed at student pilots, but all in all a great airport, Landing fee is $2.50
