Avgas is back up and running with new self-service pump - very nice. The Three Zero Cafe is at mid-field parking at the gas pump - excellent for breakfast and lunch. Taxi to far south end parking and walk through the access gate under the trees into the harbor for restaurants, kayaks, purchase fish and crabs off the boats, etc. Call ahead to arrange bicycle rental at the Bike Works 650-726-6708 (closed Mondays). The Coastal Trail starts at the harbor and goes all the way through Half Moon Bay (3 mi.) and on to the Ritz Carlton Hotel 2 mi. south of Half Moon Bay - very scenic along the bluffs with many places for beach access. At Kelly Street in Half Moon Bay, go 1/2 mi. into town to Tres Amigos at Hwy 1 - best Mexican restaurant. Another 3 blocks on Kelly takes you to Historic Main Street of restaurants, shops, galleries, etc. If there's fog, Norcal is very good at issuing IFR clearance - Rwy 30 is usually favored. With 800 ft and 300 ft minimums on the non-WAAS and WAAS approaches, respectively, you can usually get in IFR. No radio contact with Norcal below about 1800 ft, so cancel IFR after landing by calling Norcal at 916-361-3829 (they'll make sure you have this number on the way in). Note that the AWOS 127.275 is very low power, and you can't get it until about 15 mi. out for WX and the local altimeter setting. And, when the AWOS is reporting 300 or 400 ft, it is sometimes lower, so plan on missed and go to SQL and visit the Hiller Aviation Museum. You can always get out of Half Moon Bay by filing IFR flight plan to Woodside VOR and VFR conditions (tops of the fog is usually well below 2,500 ft.), then when ready to go call Norcal at 916-361-0519 and they'll give you void time clearance for takeoff. HAF is indeed a unique experience - one of the most beautiful airports you'll ever fly into.

This should be in one of your top "must-visit" GA airport. But check the weather before going; it's along the coast and subject to fog/marine layer. On clear days, airport could be busy; be good on reporting your position. This is actually in the town of Princeton. Half Moon Bay is few more miles south. If you want more dining selection, taxi all the way to the south of airport. There are several well maintained transient spaces with tie-downs and a walk path to town harbor and several eating options. Fuel here is cheaper than my home airport.
