Landed at KHXD for a brief stop in a KA200, and found the "handling fee @ Signature to be $295.00!! Fee could be waived with minimum purchase of 100 gal JetA @ $8.40 per gallon!!! For the "handling fee" there was no premium service-no vending machine, no crew car so we could get a meal, no nice pilot lounge. Not even a cup of coffee until it was requested. We bought fuel at our next stop at $6.30. Another example of Signature sticking it to the flying public because they can.

Researched options pre-flight from Delaware, and decided on Signature vs smaller fac 1-hr drive north. Arriving on weekend, rec'd 100LL discount and ramp fee waived for >10 gallons. Per gallon cost with tax etc was $6.64; spent just 30 cents less at an enroute stop. Rental cars from other side can be waiting, but if you have your own discount deal, they will get you to the terminal side, and you can still drop car on the GA side when departing. Very nice and helpful staff and facilities are great. Very glad we went to the closest airport to the hotel. Taxi is flat $22 to hotel 1.5 mi for Westin! Cessna 182 family treated like Citation clan. Comments on this board helped with the decision. Thanks!

HXD and Signature were amazing. My first flight in from LUK in an SR22 and they were so helpful - had rental car (with a great rate) waiting for me at plane, helped to load and unload, fueled me over weekend to take advantage of discount, in short an amazing first experience (of many I hope) in and out of HXD and Signature. Every person from the line to the counter were friendly and greeted us with smiles! We should all have FBO like this!

went into hxd for the memorial day weekend. got there a day late and because of weather signature flight had the rental car ready, delivered the car to the plane, gave us their corporate rate at the hotel right on the beach. we extended our stay a day they extended the car with no problem. very professional gave us a discount on fuel. we will definately be back.

Very pleasant experience with Signature, esp. Christina at the desk. A little pricey but worth it for the service and Southern low country hospitality. (Face it, Hilton Head is not an inexpensive place to visit.) Difficult to see the airport from the Rwy 3 noise abatement water marshes approach due to the trees close to the airport (nice scenic approach route, however). Plenty of runway, but seems shorter visually. Winds can be an issue depending on wind direction due to "basin effect" when above or below the tree line. Hilton Head is much less crowded this time of year (off season - the busy season is May thru July). We used Diamond Taxi (Jim) with much success, and walked everywhere else. Bikes are available for rent all over. Suggest visiting Harbor Town and South Beach for shops, restaurants and harbor views.

My family and I landed at Hilton Head and were met with an outstanding staff. They made use feel welcomed. The young lady at the front desk (Ashley) goes well beyond most other folks at other FBOs in her attempt to help her arriving and departing pilots. I had a situation were I was over charged for the rental car by the local rental agency due to a simple mistake. What would normally have taken several calls by me to the rental car company, was handled by Ashley professionally and with courtesy and I didn't have to contact the rental car company at all. In my opinion, this is a really cool place. Don't hesitate at all to stop here and don't forget to coordinate your requirements with Ashley. She's outstanding!

Hilton Head is a wonderful airport. Views flying in are awesome! Signature Flight Sevice (FBO) is expensive for fuel but has great service and friendly, helpful staff. Northern approaches talk to Beaufort MCAS Approach (118.45) Western and southerly approaches talk to Savannah Approach (125.3). Be alert on short final as the runway is in a "bowl" with trees all around and wind tumbling over the tree line keeps you on your toes. Review Broad Creek Visual Rwy 03 Arrival Plate ahead of time for noise abatement .
