Landed my Cherokee at KJAX due to weather. Sheltair Aviation was wonderful (just as the facility at KFRG in NY). Great facility, lots of food nearby and was offered a ride to the restaurants on field across the way. Took fuel and they waived all the fees.

I am a student pilot based at SGJ working on my PPL. I'm mostly flying 152s. I was flying up North one day and my instructor and I decided to try to go to JAX, We called approach 3500 directly over CRG. We were given a squak code and got radar contact 1 mile north of CRG. We were given a heading and told to descend to 3000 and that we would be making a touch and go on 7. I was thinking at this moment that the worst thing we could hear in a few minutes would be "follow the 757 on final". Instead, a few second later, the approach controller called us and told us to keep best speed because we were going to land in front of a 757 on 20 mile final at 300 knots! We were full throttle and descending to keep speed. The airspeed indicator needle was in the yellow the whole time! we were cleared for touch and go on 7. While taking off my instructor and I noticed that there was only 1 airliner at the terminal. The place was deserted! once we were about a mile out the tower controller asked if we wanted flight following but we said no and we would just stay with him until we left the class C. Great experience especially for a student. Controllers were friendly.
