I have used KLYH as a fuel stop three different times, always using Freedom (listed as Falwell). Great staff and quick turns. The airport is very busy with Liberty Univ flight training, so it can be a bit of delay with taxi and takeoff......I was number 6 the first time we came through. All in all, great half way point for our trip from KPJC to 60J.

My original plan was to land at KROA, but due to a thunderstorm sitting over the airport, I changed my plans and landed here. As it turns out, this was a very nice airport to land at, and the FBO listed as "Falwell Aviation" (I think it was actually a different name, but I don't recall) had a friendly staff greet me. This was an intermediate fuel stop for me, and as I was leaving, the staff offered that I give them a call on my return trip so I can take their crew car for a bite to eat.

Easy to find airport..ATC and Phillips 66 Aviation had warm friendly staff. Ground crew took care of our plane and even offered to clean windshield...Overnight parking was very reasonable. Office has cold water and staff arranged for transportation to motel..also have a list of special airport rates in many of the near motels..Great experience...JD from PA

Easy to spot airport. Rwy/ramp in great condition. VA Aviation (Phillips 66) had friendly staff, no landing fees, and was a clean modern facility.
