What a breath of fresh air for a pistion driver! Rather than sign in, landling fees, handling fees, or all waived $2.00 a gallon higher 100LL as with other big city FBOs, they park you at the brand new civilan terminal (30 second walk), and treat you like royalty. Get a code number and hang out at the civiliam terminal which is not manned but still has coffee, flight planning, lounge, TV, etc., self serve fuel (very cheap), or Hangar 10 has absolutely no problem with you hanging out with them. They're very friendly, polite, and actually appear to appreciate you just being there. Strongly suggest all (turbine or pistion) to go there, a real asset to Kansas City.

It is so refreshing to see a city invest in GA and welcome the pilot community. Hanger 10 folks are the best. Always courteous, and willing to go the extra step to make you feel right at home. They are right next door to the new GA terminal and it is so nice to have hanger 10 and GA together. Hanger 10 does not have 100LL, but its available at the SS pump and at a very fair price. We come to KC many times a year, and I will always land here for our trips. It's nice to see that the city has welcomed GA back. Keep up the great work! Thanks! Dave (KCOS)

Flew my V35B Bonanza into MKC on 9/16/10 and went to Hangar 10...As reported on previous blogs, the service and atttitude of personnel was incredible...best ever encountered in 38 years of flying around the country. No complaints using the city's self serve fuel abount 1,000 feet south of their facility at $ 3.91 a gallon. Most of their customers appear to be million dollar corp jets...but we were treated like million dollar jet setters. Ed B. In KSAT

This is a neat airport, easy in easy out. Currently there is a lot of construction going on at the airport. They are making some great improvements. All controllers were helpful and friendly. The city's self serve gas pumps are priced very reasonably and are very easy to access. I parked my Cirrus SR22 at the temporary Hanger 10 facility. Let me tell you what, the people there provided top notch first class service even though we only bought a bottle of diet coke. They provided us a spot to park the plane for the day, arranged for the Hertz rental car, gave us directions to where we were going, let us use their facility and did it all with a smile. All of that and there was no charge! What a great experience we had. Next time I go to Kansas without hesitation I will land at KMKC and do business with Hanger 10.

The minimum fuel price listed here is not accurate. Earlier this year, the City of Kansas City put in self-serve pumps for 100LL. The price today was $3.90/gallon. I'll pump my own to save almost $2.00/gallon! The pumps are just north of the new T-hangars, on the west side of the field

The City-owned Self-Service 100LL fuel pump opened earlier this year with fairly competitive prices. The city's development on the west side includes plenty of new T-hangars, free plane washing station, and a city provided FBO that should be open in August, 2010. Positive additions for the GA community.
