Avoid Clearwater Aviation, they have no clue of what they're doing. Go to Sheltair, Signature or CAMS instead.

I conduct several Canine Rescue Flights from St. Pete / Clearwater airport. I have often used Signature and found them to be incredibly accommodating. Diane, at the desk, has been extremely patient as we carefully drag well-mannered dogs through Signature to get to the plane. Talk about commotion! But Signature just smiles and helps us any way possible. It's asking a lot for a business that's working very hard to keep a high-level atmosphere, but Signature supports us everyday they can. In spite of all the commotion, Diane smiles and offers us coffee and whatever assistance they can. Thank you Diane, and Thank you Signature. CanineRescueFlights.org thanks you!

Flew into KPIE May of 2010 for a week long get away. Used Sheltair FBO, which had outstanding service. They had my rental car waiting on the ramp. The line guy unloaded our bags and we were on our way. They arranged my hotel on the beach, which came with a good discount as well. I will return to Sheltair "KPIE" every chance I get. Not the cheapest fuel, but Sheltair is not known for cheap fuel, but instead great service.

Visited on 7/09/10. Can't recommend Avantair highly enough as an FBO. Comfortable clean and modern facility. Both line and desk staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Arranged crew rooms at great rate. Printed out detailed directions to several recommended restaurants w/o being asked. Had a rental car waiting, "just in case we needed one" (hadn't been requested but rate was very good so we took advantage). No fuel, but desk arranges for Sheltair to promptly service their ramp. Desk staff made unsolicited offer to run out and bring back lunch while we waited for a pax. Exceptional experience.
