Wife and I flew into Provincetown on Sept 17 for a wake in Wellfleet. A sad occasion but a pleasant experience at the airport. Staff at Cape Air was cheerful, helpful and professional. The facilities were clean. Our rented car was waiting for us - one of the Cape Air guys came out to the parking lot to demo the high tech features in the car. We were in and out of there in minutes. Way to go - thank you.

We were there over Memorial Day weekend. Not much has changed. Parking for the day is $10. A cab trip into town for two is $20 with a tip. The good ol' boys who collect the landing fee give you the current gate code so you can get back in. As usual, watch out for people who don't know there is Right traffic for 25. P-town is as crazy as ever. We were treated to an impromptu parade for some unknown cause. The costumes were, if anything, a little stranger this year. It's always been a dog-friendly community but there seem to bee more pooches around than ever. As usual food at the Lobster Pot was great if (as usual) a little pricey. Still an excellent day trip.

Arrived Monday. Pilot office (small building) closed. Instructions say go to Main Terminal to check in. Beware and take concrete path to gate and out to front door of terminal. Field has Cape Air service and a security area into which I unwittingly walked only to be barked at by a large security guard who ordered me back to the path - refusing to tell me why. An unnecessary unpleasant experience at an otherwise nice and well organized field. Use the free local phone (in gray box on wall immediately outside terminal front door) to call cab. Also has pilot's conference room in terminal with computer access to check weather and flight plans.
