Landmark is a professionally run operation at KSAN. I always find staff helpful and ready. Not so easy to say the same about clearing customs. Arrived 40 minutes early, so they made me sit in aircraft for 1hr 20min. I guess they showed me! Approach and tower have always been good to work with, but I always arrive IFR flight plan. Watch your victor airways, not all are straight like in the midwest. A little more $'s, but I offset by no need for rental car for my destination.

Just spend a few days in SAN. The folks at Landmark were wonderful, period. Yes, the fuel is a hair more than the surrounds, but the treatment was 5-star, and I can't say enough good things about those folks. Being a small recip, I feel we were treated as well as the heavy iron guys. ATC worked the C210 in IFR just fine, and were as professional as always. A tip for those departing SAN, they will "throw out" your flight plan if you file direct outbound. They suggested that i add a few waypoints closer to SAN the next time. Overall, great service. We will be back!

Nabih, Unless you have a real need to operate at SAN, I recommend using MYF. It's very close and a lot more affordable than parking/ buying fuel at Landmark, the only FOB at SAN. I've flown out of MYF for years as a CFI and I'm an operations supervisor here at SAN. Landmark charges a lot for ramp fees and fuel. Call them at 619 298-7704 and ask. MYF charges 5-10 per night for tiedown and has two FBO, one with self service, Gibbs and Crownair. Dave Billings
