I have been flying in Florida for over 20 years and had never been to Tampa Executive. I usually go into Tampa International. I was kind of skeptial about going to a smaller place. Leading Edge Aviation is a great place. All staff very professional and friendly especially Nathan. I arrived late and did not depart until 10 pm. Nathan did a great job of taking care of me and the airplane. Pilots lounge very comfortable. Will definitly go back there.

When this was Vandenberg airport I frequently flew down from Orlando to bring the kids home from college for the weekend. However, upon changing to Tampa Executive I was expected to pay a landing fee just to stop for a few minutes to pick up the kids. Due to this incredibly expensive landing fees I AVOID Tampa Executive and I encourage others to do so!!

31 Oct 2011. Flew into KVDF on Sat 22 Oct 11 to go on a cruise and parked the airplane with the FBO for the duration of my cruise. When I arrived, I received no marshalling service and requested no additional services from the FBO except calling a cab to the hotel. The parking fees were astronomical for the service at $20 per day! Fuel prices were not much better at $6.20 per gallon. For an un-towered airport near Class B airspace these prices are way to high, especially considering that I've landed and parked at Hartfield Atlanta Airport for $33 landing fee and $12 per day parking. I definitely will not return to Tampa Executive Airport.

10/27/2011. Yesterday was my first visit to Tampa Executive and I will definitely return. I arrived with an Angel Flight client and Leading Edge's Kimberly was very pleasant and helpful. I received a $1/gal discount on the fuel for Angel Flight and we were provided a crew car and directions to nearby restaurants. They are a Cirrus Service Center so I was able to restock my supply of TKS fluid. All in all, a very nice and efficient visit. Bill Castlen
