Just had a great day in this town. Our flying club (East Hill Flying Club) was headed to NYC to attempt a trip down the Hudson corridor. Weather prevented the trip so we diverted to this field to eat lunch. Really easy 25 min walk to downtown on a nice trail off of runway 35 that leads directly in to town. We were greeted by a nice gentleman who offered us a courtesy car. There were 25 people so only a few were able to take the car. Food and service was great at Nichols and Beal. Also a nice ice cream/candy shop next door called Maxwell's. I would recommend it. Small hill on left downwind to 35 to look out for and huge windmills in the distance. Pretty cool site!
