Flew in for the day and used the Hertz website to make a car reservation the night before. When I arrived, I was told they had NO CARS available and it would be at least an hour before they arrived from Atlantic City. I questioned why I was allowed to make an online reservation if they had no cars. I was told that the reservation system does not account for their inventory. That was after waiting for them to check out the people in front of us. Very poor service. The FBO is still closed but that means that the parking spots are free.

Stayed for 8 nights. When leaving, got charged $10 per night for tie down for a total of $80. No fee adjustment or waiving of the fee no matter HOW much fuel you buy. Almost paid $80 before I discovering you can buy a month pass for $50. His explanation was that some people want to pay the entire fee. Ya right, and some prefer engine failure on take off too. I wonder if the guy would have pocketed the extra $30.

Flew in for breakfast and a romp through the museum. The restaurant was just taken over by new management, very friendly; good, simple breakfast for cheap. Locals seem to like eating there. Interesting aviation museum, lots of WWII memorabilia, saw a lot of stuff I remember seeing at the Franklin Institute when I was a kid. Very informal. GIft ship with the usual local and aviation chachkas. All in all a pleasant stay.
