Wow, flew in on a horse racing/UK Homecoming weekend in a small plane and was treated as if I was the only plane on the ramp! The staff was extremely helpful inside and out, and even loaned me a crew car for a few hours. Extremely nice facilities and the crew car was a new BMW with 500 miles on it - definitely a 5 star FBO. Thanks TAC Air!

Flew to KLEX on October 11 to attend thoroughbred horse races at Keeneland which is adjacent. TAC AIR was exceptional-as always--and on that day despite the comings and goings of the flights for the VP, and later his entourage, going nearby to that evening's VP debate. Excellent assistance with ground handling and fueling, comfortable/clean facilities and equipped planning area, AND provided a ride to and from the race track.

The guys at Mustang Aviation were incredible. Got me in on short notice and worked on my aircraft while I waited. A special thanks to Stephen and Robbie! Mustang, Tac-Air, and Aero-Tech all had friendly staff and great service.

Had excellent service at TAC Air. They were very courteous & helpful. They cleaned my windshield at no extra charge & offered a ride to & from the airplane's parking spot. Very nice & clean facility with a beautiful staggerwing hanging from the ceiling.

Made a fuel stop at KLEX last week en route to KGAI. On approach discovered that the gear was stuck in the up position. Did a missed approach and manually lowered the gear, landed, and taxied to Tac Air. They were exceptionally efficient, friendly, and helpful. They referred us next door to Mustang Aviation to check out the gear problem. Mustang was nothing short of phenomenal. If you get to KLEX and don't need any repairs, take a hammer and break something. You want the opportunity to deal with these guys. They diagnosed a bad gear pump motor, got it removed and had its replacement overnighted and got us flying by 1:00 pm the next day. And they did that while taking extraordinary care to not leave even a fingerprint on my brand new paint job. We were able to rent a car right in the lobby of Tac Air. The one downside to the trip was getting around. If you leave the airport, take some of those wonderful cookies that Tac Air provides with you so you won't starve to death while you are lost. Every street in Lexington has at least three names. While we left intending to hit an Italian restaurant and go to the Marriott, the steakhouse we stumbled upon was wonderful and the Hilton accomodating.

TAC air has built a new facility, very nice! Jeff, Larry, Mark, Joe, Herman and Tim are some of the best linemen in the country. The have always been very quick and eager to help in any way. In fact all the staff at TAC air are first rate! Should be opening a new self serve fuel pump sometime in the near future. Will be located down taxiway D acroos the ramp from the old AIR 51 building. Mustang Aviation is a good repair facility. Tom and Rudy are some of the best A&P's in the area.
