Great airport, ATC is very helpful.. folks at the FBO are great too.... the pilot shop though... meh. I was hoping to checkout headsets but all they had in store were two cheap passive ones. Other items in store look like they've been there forever.

Flew into KLNS for sightseeing in the Amish country for the afternoon. Alliance Aviation arranged for a rental car for us and then carried us down to the terminal to pick it up. When we returned the car they let us return it at the FBO and they would make arrangements to get the car returned. Extremely nice people. Great FBO, Great airport with very friendly FAA tower.

Great airport. Overnight there on my way from Montreal to Florida. Great welcome, nice FBO. Gentleman kindly gave us a ride to the hotel as he was closing for the night. I like to use small but controlled airports IFR, makes getting clearances a lot simpler than phone or GCO that do not work half the time.

Great airport to fly into. Well run and maintained facitity. Tower peole are all friendly and easy to communicate with( if you do your part ) Food is good and the place is clean -it's nice to sit outside and eat in the warm weather and watch the activity. I agree with an earlier comment about the pilot shop - It WAS one of the best anywhere, however now it has become a hobbie shop with few pilot supplies. Why ? Most likely because less people are flying as often and student starts are way down, and there is always another pilot web site popping up...it all takes a toll. Don't miss KLNS, you will be pleased !

Great airport. The beacon Is hard to see at night, It is not lit that well. Besides that food is great. Recomended!

What happened to the pilot shop? My wife and I went there to look at aviation headsets. They had a total of 3 on display. We picked out one and they only had the display model and wanted full price for it (we declined). It seemed that there was a lot more supplies for RC hobbyists than Pilots. I mentioned this to my (former) instructor who now directs people to another local airport instead. This certainly is not a comment about the airport itself or the FBO.

I flew to Lancaster on 07AUG2010. They have a very good facility with a pilot lounge and pool table. Computer and snack machines are also available. The staff at Alliance Aviation was very helpful and they have a pilot shop behind the FBO within walking distance. There is construction at the beginning of RNWY 31. Will go back. No landing fee.
