I've been doing my flight training here. Really like Kerry, Brian, and the crew they've put together. And the Saturday morning fly-in breakfasts are wonderful. Very nice, helpful place.

Re: My post of 7/9/2010, the new FBO, S.O.A.R. ("Service-Oriented Aviation Readiness"), has re-opened the restaurant. Called "The Hangar". As one of the resident airport bums, I can say that the food is delicious. They're open Thurs-Sat, 7:00am - 2:00pm.

Great little airport with friendly helpful staff, excellent runway and clean nice facilities. Manager said the restaurant was going to reopen soon.

A great small town airport and great service by the FBO. Had called ahead for a courtesy car, but wound up coming in the night before my reservation. The FBO was already closed so I called the 24 hr service number. The FBO owner, in spite of being out of town, called me back and within 30 minutes had someone at the airport to get me the courtesy car keys. When I returned the car 48 hours later, the FBO owner towed my plane to the self serve fuel pumps and offered to pump the gas for me. No charge for the courtesy car. What a great stop. Nice people and nice facility. All airports should be so fortunate.

For everyone's information, the restaurant is no longer open, since May 7, 2010. No more $100.00 hamburgers or hotcakes.
