Flew in to this airport 10/21/2012 this is a very Home town airport. I was greeted by Mr Lavon who was very friendly. *********** Caution to my fellow Pilots********** I rented a car from Marianna Enterprise I was told that a vehicle was left there from a previous rental and might be dirty as it has not been checked back in and cleaned. I agreed if any trash was left behind I would throw it out no problem. The car was there as promised and as usual I did my walk around to check for any damage. I noted no damage. I have owned a auto repair shop for 29 years so I feel uniquely qualified to inspect a car for any damage. We had the vehicle a little less than 24 hrs. We returned the next day Sunday and again walked around the vehicle to check for damage none noted. As usual I took a photo of the mileage and fuel level just in case. The next day I received a call from Enterprise and was told the bottom of the front bumper was scraped from a car stop and that I was being charged for repairs. I assured them I saw no damage and hit nothing he told me you have to get down on your knees and look under the vehicle to see it. I HIT NOTHING WITH THAT CAR!!!!!. I told them that it must have been from the previous renter they then told me OH NO we inspected the car prior to you renting it and saw no damage. "I guess they could inspect it but not clean it out" Even though I fix cars I don't bring my coveralls and creeper with me in my plane to inspect under a rental car. My insurance is paying for the repairs as I type this. I would caution all my fellow pilots I have been flying for 18 years and rented something like a 100 cars Never have I damaged a single one including this one. I would there fore urge anyone flying in to Marianna DO NOT RENT FROM THE LOCAL ENTERPRISE OFFICE I know I was the victim of a scam. If you must rent from these people be sure to bring something to lay on the ground and check for damage before you drive off or Trust me You'll be Sorry. Jay Barr N2818X

Flew in VFR to support a Canine Rescue. Bill & crew were accommodating and welcoming. Quick turn around, reasonable fuel prices. A really great stop. So why are there so many comments that mention this airport manager by name? Because he introduces himself! The whole staff makes you feel like that WANT your business. RWY 08/26 is a bit rough, though I had no problems. The field is certainly "ample" enough. Thanks to all the staff at Marianna.

N237DT landed Oct 31 for the 2nd time over the weekend and had my engine go down on me. Bill & his co-wokers were 1st class. When I needed a car they were ready. They helped every way that I could think anyone want someone to help them. Also they take very good care of our Army pilots that stop in for fuel. Anyone flying the area should stop in and support these fine folks. May GOD Bless them!
