Visited today. Was my first flight after getting my ppl. Great food and great people! Park right on the grass in front of the restaurant.

Six aircraft of the Keystone Flight group met for lunch with 6 aircraft of the New England Outkast flight group. The food at the CAVU restaurant was good. The staff was excellent. The service for us was slow, but in all honesty I believe they were overwhelmed by the simultaneous arrival of 12 planes and passengers. The fuel price is the cheapest I've seen in recent months. The credit card machine wasn't working when we tried to refuel, but the manager turned on the pump and asked us to pay cash or mail it to him later. I am always surprised by the trust and hospitality found throughout the aviation community. Kobelt airport is a prime example. I recommend stopping in for something to eat if you are in the area, or looking for a flight destination..

GPS helps find this little airport. You need to almost be on top of it to see it. CAVU restaurant had great food and atmosphere. You can sit outside and eat and watch the skydivers land right next to the patio. The fuel pump was not accepting credit cards. Too bad. Not having fuel is the only negative to the place.

BayBilly 4/18/11 Airport is hard to find but if you stay high enough and circle it's not bad .Food at CAVU is great,night or day.
