Although this airport does have a paved, lighted runway in good condition, it is heavily obstructed by trees and unlit terrain. As a result, I'd suggest that this airport should probably be treated as a backcountry strip--meaning, day VFR use only. No instrument approaches to it, anyway. The obstruction situation is probably worse than published--In the mild climate that gets over 100" of rain a year, trees grow rapidly. That said, this is an interesting place to visit. Loaded the bike into the airplane, and then rode the bike into the Hoh Rainforest of Olympic Nat'l Park, a 60 mile round trip ride which was well worth it. The Pacific Inn and Dew Drop Inn looked liked reasonable accomodations for overnight stays. Paul Keller, CFI AOPA 02917746
