Flew up to Savannah for a couple days from Tampa area and chose Signature. Friendly and efficient and, using their weekend deals had a very reasonable (for these times) value. Staff was very interested in helping with questions and assistance. Public transportation, bus stop is immediately outside the FBO and it's a half hour ride for $1.50 to the historic district. (hour ride back though)"Route 2, West Chatham" line I don't know why more pilots don't take advantage of public amenities. They're a great value to our travels and add to the adventure. I called Sheltair and they really didn't seem to be interested and didn't know about the bus, offering to call a cab for $30 or $40 one way.

Visited Sheltair on 01/07/2012. Very nice, modern facilities. Very friendly staff. Arranged for a rental car the day before with the desk. Everything was ready when we arrived. The lady working the desk was very friendly and gave us great directions and tips on places to visit while in Savannah. Very pleasant experience. Will stop there again on our next visit.

Stopped into KSAV on 10/25/2011, used Signature, although high priced, service was excellent. I had called Sheltair on the phone before leaving for KSAV and they seemed not to care if I used them or not. I'll use Signature again.

I flew into KSAV May 2010 and used Sheltair. Sheltair knew that we were on our way and was delayed by weather. They waited around for us to arrive about 30 minutes late. The line guy had our rental car waiting on the ramp, altho he did not offer to unload our bags. The rental car came at a premium price, but they did get me a great discount at the Bohemian, which is a great hotel with a nice open air bar on top over looking the river. The FBO waived the ramp fee with 10 gallons of fuel, which worked out just fine for me.

Stopped into KSAV on 3/26/11 also at Sheltair. They were excellent. We flew in in a older C150 and they treated us like we had rolled up in a bizjet. Brand new crew car. Front desk service was pleasant and very courteous. We made sure we topped off the crew car's fuel even though we only went to town for an hour or so. It was well worth it!

A few months ago, we had a mis-step with Sheltair. After calling it to their attention, they said "give us another chance". I did, and the attention to detail, the service, the concern was overwhelming. We should all be aware that anyone can make a mistake, but what you do about it later is what counts. Sheltair rose to the occasion and made things more than right. Their management should be commended for the effort. One bad experience is an opportunity for Great FBO's to prove they can do the job right N8428N

SHELT AIR is crap. We arrived there, and asked for fuel. They refused to provide it stating that it would be at least a 45 minute wait even though they were not busy. We went to the self-serve pump and was airborne before they would have even began fueling us at SHELT AIR. My advice is to AVOID SHELT AIR AT ALL COST. Go to Signature for full service, or ask ground for progressive to the self serve pumps, located just east of the approach end to runway 1.
