Nice little airport, as mentioned earlier-recently resurfaced and painted. There were a few LSA's in the pattern, but had no trouble being cut-off or anything like that. There was a USA Government Huey in pattern too who made low passes over the runway, which was pretty cool. Easy getting in and out, well posted Noise Abatement Procedures on the taxiways. Just be aware of the SFRA a few miles to the West of the airport.

Nice airport, just got resurfaced and re-striped. There's a mix of flight training activity as regular flying activity, including gyrocopter demonstrations, so it can get busy at times. Just be observant and follow the Golden Rule, even if a student is still struggling to get as good as the high-timers. Show 'em how a great pilot operates. Plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby and Hemingway's wonderful restaurant just reopened after remodeling. Try out a Maryland crabcake! Beautiful view of the Chesapeake Bay and Bay Bridge. There's a mix of land and water along the Bay and lots of farms and lovely countryside to the east for those who want to take it slow and enjoy the view.

See new phot for photo showing new north taxiway. Hey 06272824, I fly out of W29 as an LSA student and some of the worst and most dangerous behavior has been that of NON-LSA air craft/pilots. Bay Bridge is the location for the largest LSA school in the country.

Flew in on Saturday at about noon. I was greeted by about six LSAs in the pattern at once with more entering throughout. Had to make three attempts to land safely due to peculiar behavior by LSA pilots. First attempt was scrubbed after an LSA pilot cut in front of me turning downwind to base. Second attempt was scrubbed as I was on short final and an LSA pilot turned from the run-up area onto runway 11 and began his takeoff roll. After I turned off to the right of the runway and initiating a go-around 200' above ground-level, I announced my go-around, hoping to alert the departing pilot of my position and intentions. The departing pilot just continued his takeoff roll and climbed to my altitude. Not fun. Beware if you visit this airfield. It's chaotic.

Nice airport, very friendly staff, fairly heavy activity, note Noise Abatement Procedures (both runways) as well as proximity to Washington DC SFRA.
