I was here recently for the first time - the FBO is amazing; every facility a GA pilot could ask for. Very friendly folks all the way around. The ATC people were equally helpful - espically the guy the the English or Scottich accent. After exiting the RWY, they have a "Follow Me" van that takes you to transient parking, and then the terminal. By the time you get out, they have you tied down and they are ready to handle bags or whatever. Very smooth. Enterprise Rent a Car and one or two others are there, and they leave the car right out in front on the flight line for you. This place is GREAT!

The computers in the pilot's briefing room will not access www.duats.com for a briefing -- the network protection software apparently labels DUATS as "malicious software". One of the employees tried to access DUATS on her personal computer and we still could not get through. Very nice employees at the front desk -- they tried to get the system to work.

I flew into Henderson Exec FBO in my Comanche 250 at night while the tower was closed so I self announced my position till I landed. I recomend flying under Las Vegas Class B airspace if possible to avoid all the heavy traffic. At first I contaced Las Vegas Approach and they told me to remain clear under their airspace so I did. The staff at Henderson FBO were very helpful and willing to assist in any way. A cab ride to the strip will cost you about $50. Pilots need to check the weather because it does tend to get very windy and gusty. We had to stay two extra nights due to high winds...but hey what better place to stay at than Vegas. We will definately be back.

I flew into KHND 3 days ago for the first time. I used the Henderson Exec FBO and found it to be a great experience even for the small guys in 172s!!! Tie down for a C172 was $9.00 per day with no fuel purchase tie down discount. Self Serve fuel is +/- 30 cents cheaper and Fuel Farm looks to be very convenient. I arrived from the north coming in over the Jean Airport. Flight Following goes out (because of terrain and C172 altitude) south of the Beatty VOR. I was able to get Las Vegas Approach when I came through the terrain and got closer to the Jean Airport. Approach had me stay east of Highway 15 from Jean to Henderson and remain clear/below airspace. Henderson Tower had me enter on base to land 35L. A line tech from the FBO met me to direct to parking, chained my plane and shuttled me to the FBO. The FBO offers a free shuttle (3 set times per day?) to your hotel. Call before you arrive to get on the reservation list. This free shuttle does not bring you back to the airport. Cost to get back to the airport was quoted $50 by a taxi from the north end of the strip. A town car (Bell or Presidential) will run $45 for the first hour. I chose the town car. I placed a call to the FBO in the morning prior to my departure. When I arrived at the FBO my airplane was ready with fuel and my invoice was ready for my credit card. A line tech shuttled me to my airplane. Another sign of FBO level of professionalism was when a disagreement occurred between the shuttle driver and FBO Staff before my group was to leave in the shuttle. FBO Staff pulled the shuttle driver into a conference room to discuss the situation instead of trying to handle it in front of the customers. Obviously, the FBO is going to win the disagreement and could have powered through the situation in front of the group, but everybody would have been uncomfortable. 3 minutes after the conference the shuttle driver was happy to take our group to our hotels.
