Van Nuys Flight CenterJoin us for a special movie event, One Six Right — The Romance of Flying (shown in high definition with 5.1 surround sound), sponsored by Van Nuys Flight Center, immediately following the reception. Admission is free. (There will be an opportunity to make a donation to the AOPA Air Safety Foundation.) One Six Right is a documentary film that celebrates the unsung hero of aviation — the local airport — by tracing the life, history, and struggles of an airport icon: Southern California's Van Nuys Airport. The film dispels common misconceptions and opposes criticism of general aviation airports. The movie will be shown in the Convention Center Ballroom. Movie time is approximately 73 minutes.

Renowned illusionist and mentalist, as well as an ATP, Master CFII, and Gold Seal Instructor for airplanes (single- and multiengine) and helicopters.
Jason Randal can be seen regularly on The David Letterman Show and Ellen. He's made more than 100 television appearances with all the greats from Johnny Carson and Merv Griffin to Regis Philbin and Arsenio Hall. He's entertained audiences of all types and sizes around the world with his unique brand of mental magic. Now this longtime AOPA member will be live at Expo.

AOPA will also honor a government official and an individual in the aviation community who did the most to defend and preserve general aviation during the year. Includes dinner. (Ticket required; $65 per person.)
