Want a Career That's Taking Off? Try Business Aviation

Danny Long, the owner of Long’s Small Engine Repair in North Carolina, has completed an experimental aircraft he started building a year and a half ago from a kit. He has since been flying the Quad City Challenger II, which can travel up to 300 miles at up to 100 miles per hour, from the landing strip in his backyard. “It’s been an overall joy to build it,” says Long. “It’s taken me a long time, about a year and about 1400 hours. A lot of taping cloth, fabric work and metal work.” Long says his ultimate goal is to fly the plane across the United States.
