Gisele Bündchen Becoming a Helicopter Pilot
By Charlotte Triggs, 'People'
Supermodel Gisele Bündchen, wife to New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, is training to get a helicopter pilot's license--while six months pregnant. She has been taking lessons for several weeks at Shoreline Aviation just outside Boston, and her doctor has given her permission to continue flying through November, one month before she is due to give birth. "She's gung ho about learning to fly," says Shoreline president Keith Douglass. "She's one of the best students we have ever had." He added that she learns quickly and is not nervous at all about flying. Her main focus in learning to fly is to prepare for her work as a goodwill ambassador for the UN's Environmental Program to find an alternative source of jet fuel. But her husband may come to take lessons as well, as Douglass says they plan to use a helicopter frequently.
