Standard Learjet 40 XRs get more range
Bombardier Aerospace announced that standard-equipped Learjet 40 XRs will now come with what was formerly an option: increased fuel capacity. This additional fuel will permit the airplane’s maximum range to stretch to 1,991 nautical miles. This represents a distance 268 nm farther than was previously possible in standard 40 XRs.
In related news, Aircell’s SwiftBroadband worldwide connectivity is now being made available as an option on all current-production Learjets: the 40 XR, 45XR, and 60 XR. And Learjets now in production will come with new cabin-management system (CMS) touch screens, and enhanced connectivity, including MP3-compatible devices such as iPods, along with a variety of cabin design and furniture options.
“We are focused on providing our customers with aircraft that meet or exceed their needs and expectations, and this has led us to elevate our baseline offering for Learjet aircraft,” said Rod Williams, vice president of marketing for Bombardier Business Aircraft.
