The company is operating under the name Stemme AG. It will continue to market existing products under their current brand names.

Stemme, based in Strausberg, Germany, manufactures the S12 and S10 high-performance composite aircraft and the ECARYS ES15, designed for reconnaissance, surveillance, ship monitoring, border patrol, and other commercial applications.

Remos, headquartered in Pasewalk, Germany, manufactures ultralight and light sport aircraft for a global market. Its newest aircraft, the GXiS, is featured in the May 2017 issue of AOPA Pilot.

The merger formalizes a relationship between the two companies that began in 2014, with Remos manufacturing some components for Stemme at its Pasewalk facility.

“The idea of a merger just made sense in the perspective of the development of both companies,” said Stemme CEO Paul Masschelein. “Both companies share a similar business philosophy, similar customer focus, and equal quality focus.”
