Look for the AOPA Waco at Sun 'n Fun

Feb. 21 — AOPA's Centennial of Flight Sweepstakes Waco UPF-7 biplane will be on display at this year's Sun 'n Fun EAA Fly-in at Lakeland, Florida, April 2 through April 8. It will mark the aircraft's first cross-country flight since restoration. The $250,000 open-cockpit biplane has spent the winter in a hangar at Rare Aircraft in Owatonna, Minnesota, because it has been too cold to continue the required engine break-in flights. Take a look if visiting Sun 'n Fun — it could be yours. AOPA members are automatically entered to win when they join or renew. Since the Waco is a two-year contest, that means you have at least two chances to win. After Sun 'n Fun the aircraft will go to Frederick, Maryland, headquarters of AOPA. AOPA Pilot Senior Editor Al Marsh will be aboard to write an article for a future issue of Pilot.
