Update:

Rockwell Collins has released an updated database that includes most of the 10,000 approaches recently removed. However, the restored approaches come with two limitations for all ground and flight operations:

  • Flight crews are prohibited from changing “climb to” altitudes in departures and missed approaches.
  • Use of the FMS Temperature Compensation Feature is prohibited at all times (crews should use manual temperature compensation techniques).

The AOPA Air Safety Institute recommends that pilots review the December 13, 2017, Rockwell Collins Operators Bulletin 0166-17R4 for details.
