Description

The Bald Eagle Flying Club is a large and growing club located at the Portland International Jetport (KPWM) in Portland, Maine. We are currently 40+ members and own three airplanes: a 1979 Cessna 172N (N4818D), a 1985 Cessna 172P (N99265), and a 2004 Alarus CH2000 2-seater. Both Cessna's have the upgraded Lycoming O-360 engine rated @180 HP. More info about our aircraft can be found at www.baldeagleflyingclub.org. We have several very active CFIs and can offer primary flight instruction and IFR instruction. Membership is $100/mo and usage rates for our airplanes are very reasonable, with the wet usage rate for the Cessna's being $95/hr and the Alarus being $75/hr.

As of April 2015 the Bald Eagle Flying Club has 2 aircraft, an IFR rated Cessna 172 and a relatively new (650 hours TT) AMD Allarus--both based at Portland International Jetport. The Allarus is a low wing, fixed tricycle gear, 2 place airplane with a 115 hp lycoming. The Club currently has 30 members and welcomes applications from prospective new members. If interested, contact Club Secretary Don Lewis at 207-892-1734 or email dlml73@roadrunner.com.
Fees to join and fly are very reasonable, intro flights are available, airplanes are readily available and the members are actively engaged in all aspects of flying and the club operations.
