Description

The Flabob Aero Club is organized solely as a social and recreational organization to provide its members with the opportunities for fellowship and affordable flying. Members also enjoy the joys of Historic Flabob Airport, plus social activities and flying club aircraft.

We meet on the 1st Saturday of each month at the Flabob Aero Clubhouse in Bldg. 8. The Board meets at 12:00 P.M. and is open to all. Membership Meetings are quarterly. Times vary but, as an example, around 2 P.M. we may all be out washing club airplanes, then fire up the barbecue. Or we may start the day with a pancake breakfast followed by an activity. Whatever happens, it's all good, clean, family fun, with nice people who all share one basic thought, "Isn't it time to go flying?"

There are NO buy-in costs or set-up fees. Dues are simply $10 a month, paid quarterly and, although rates are subject to change, they are currently $67 per hour for the Cub, C150, Tecnam P92, and Champ. The C172 is $70 Hr. ALL AIRCRAFT ARE RENTED DRY. The Tecnam is an SLSA and the Cub also qualifies as a Light Sport. Our mission is to be the most fun and affordable way to fly in SoCal.

DERRELLSNIDER - 07/09/2014
We just had a great turn-out to our annual 4th of July Family BBQ and Fireworks Watch. The clubhouse was filled with food and folks. Everyone pitched in and we had a blast! The City of Riverside fireworks were spectacular being shot off the top of Mt. Rubidoux just east of us, right where we turn base, and we all sat out on the ramp and watched the show. Hundreds of Flabobians and friends lined the ramp from EAA Chapter #1's hangar on the west to our Clubhouse in the middle all the way to the east end of the airport. What wonderful Free Family Fun for old and young alike.
