Description

The Cleveland Soaring Society is a non-profit 501(c)(7) corporation, founded in 1962 with stated purpose “to provide flying facilities for its members on a nonprofit basis and to encourage their training by making available ground school and flight instruction in sailplanes and gliders.” And, to that end, Cleveland Soaring has promoted the sport of soaring in the northeast Ohio for over 50 years. CSS is a charter chapter of The Soaring Society of America, our parent organization and national advocacy group for soaring in the United States.

Cleveland Soaring Society flies every weekend, April through October -
weather permitting.

We also fly on weekday afternoons, when possible.
