Aviation intercom and audio panel maker PS Engineering has reduced the price of an audio panel made for experimental aircraft, the company announced March 31.
The list price of the PDA360EX has been reduced to $1,595, with a “minimum advertised price” set at $1,345, the company stated in the press release. The audio panel was introduced in April 2015, aiming to serve homebuilders who have no need or use for marker beacon receiver capabilities or more than four intercom connections.
While the reduction from the original list price of $2,095 was announced just ahead of the Sun 'n Fun International Fly-In and Expo in Lakeland, Florida, the company stated the price reduction is not a “show special,” but a “true cost reduction.”
The PDA360EX includes Bluetooth connectivity and the ability to digitally process audio from multiple sources to create the perception that different radios are coming from different positions around the pilot, when using a stereo headset. PS Engineering celebrated 30 years in business in 2015, and makes a variety of aviation audio products.
