EAA Chapter 690 will host Mr. Hugh Colton fir the 1st Saturday in January Aviation Program. Hugh, and avid soaring pilot will be doing a presentation on his recent trip to soar in the Southern Alps of New Zealand. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the “Alps of New Zealand” through Hugh's photography and comments. Hugh Colton BA, MS, FRGS – EAA Life Member British by nationality, Hugh has lived and worked in many countries, and has been resident in the USA since 1988, and in Alpharetta since 1991. He has degrees in electrical, mechanical, and computer engineering. Most recently he studied geography and geographical information science, which has enabled him to become a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. Hugh is Life Member of the Experimental Aircraft Association obtaining his private pilots power license in 1977, and a glider rating in 1978. Hugh has owned or had shares in five different sailplanes, and currently shares a Rolladen Schneider LS3a glider.
