Noise Abatement

Runway:Applies to:Approach/Departure:Text:
All All Aircraft Departure On takeoff, reduce to climb power as soon as safe and practical. Climb after liftoff at best angle-of-climb speed until crossing the airport boundary, then climb at best rate-of-climb. Depart from the start of the runway, rather than at intersections, to attain the highest possible altitude when leaving the airport vicinity. Climb out straight ahead to 1,000' or so; turn to avoid a noise-sensitive area if you are at an appropriator safe altitude

Good place to stop and get a bite
    David G.
Skagit Regional is a good stop for pilots in the NW. The FBO, Corporate Air, is first rate, and only 100 yards down the flight line from a good restaurant with views of the field and traffic. There are a reasonable amount of fight operations during…

    Good, well kept airport
    Daniel R.
KBVS is a great northern airport for both Commercial and GA. There is generally always room in the transient parking, a restaurant right at the FBO. Rest rooms and waiting area are clean and well appointed. We live on San Juan Island and KBVS is o…
