Runway is in very poor condition
    Eric J.
Disappointing to report this as this is a nice destination. Good chance you will lose a tire upon landing, as the runway is littered with uplifted cracks as shown in the picture, some as high as 2 inches. Your call if you think that your tires …

    Runway Okay
    Bruce C.

    Runway Condition
    Daniel B.
I visited the runway this past weekend NPS has its hands full dealing with fixing roads affected by flash floods, it doesn't look like they will be repaving the runway anytime soon. Personally, I wouldn't fly into this airstrip. The runway cracks c…

Yes, the Runway is in Poor Condition

I aborted my flight and drove to Death Valley due to weather, but checked out the airport. Unfortunately, despite the recent AOPA Pilot Briefing article (Feb 2020) stating that the runway is ".. paved, well-maintained .." I am confirming Eric J's No…

The runway has not been maintained but not in such bad shape that I would stop flying to this oasis in the desert. The phone number for the restaurant is 1-760-786-3385 call when you land and they will send a shuttle to pick you up

What a shame that nobody has posted since 2012! Here's a 2016 update, ground inspection only (CFI, visiting by car): The tiedown cables are firmly planted on the ramp, but you must provide your own tiedown rope or chain. There is no fuel available an…
