Business Description

Carolina Aviation is a full-service flight training and general aviation maintenance business. We help new people get their pilot license and help existing pilots stay sharp and increase their skills. We help aircraft owners with everything from routine inspections to repairs. We also offer rental aircraft, gift certificates, sightseeing flights, and much more. We started Carolina Aviation in 2004 to answer a fundamental challenge in aviation training: How to keep the cost of obtaining a pilot license down while maintaining a high standard for the safety and proficiency of pilots? Our answer was to launch with the industry best practices in training and build on them with continuous improvements over the years. Our commitment to this philosophy has served us and our students very well. We are an FAA Part 61 Certified Flight School. Our approach for aircraft maintenance is very similar: To provide a cost-effective service that prioritizes safety, maximizing the time the aircraft is ready to fly, and being pragmatic. We fly and maintain our own aircraft and hold ourselves to the same high standard when working on others' aircraft.

    Great Experience
    Mike B.
I've known a number of Flight Instructors during my 15 years of flying and Kirk is among the best. He emphasizes safety, good technique, and understanding 'what' and 'why'. I highly recommend him.
