Flying Engineers, Inc. is a 15 member non-profit 503(c)that owns a VFR 1970 Cessna 150K Aerobat with Indianapolis Regional Airport (MQJ) as our home base. Preferred club members are private pilots that see the club as a long term commitment and see the aircraft and club as a means to enjoy flying locally with occasional extended flights. Scheduling is rarely an issue. We do accept some student pilots if they meet other criteria. Current rates are $80 monthly and $110 per hour wet, which includes building reserves for the next engine overhaul. The aircraft is well maintained, hangared, and insured by the club. There is a very reasonable buy in cost. The club maintains a current set of legal documents, an approved CFI list, a waiting list, uses AircraftClubs.com for scheduling, and uses a strong set of officers to handle day to day operations. After initial phone interview candidates are ask to submit a club membership application, meet with a member selling their share, followed by a meeting with the officers. Initial contact is best by text or email to the club contact person.
