The Gnoss Field Flying Club (KDVO) flies a 1964 Piper Cherokee 180 which has ~5450 hours TTAF/650 hours on engine built by LyCon. Prop overhauled and oil cooler rebuilt at the same time. Wing spar attach bolts and fittings inspected; fuel tanks, landing gear, and engine mount removed and refurbished; new mags and new battery were installed, and more items updated.
Garmin GNC355 GPS/Comm, (2) new Garmin G5 HIS units, Narco ILS/Com 2 VORs, Bendix-King KMD-150 GPA, fuel totalizer, engine monitor, ADSB “out” with portable “in” unit, audio panel, 4-way intercom, nice paint and interior. 8.5 gph traveling machine!
GFFC is an “equity” club so each of our 10 members owns an equal share of the airplane and club assets. A single share is currently valued at $8,000. Online scheduling, safety program, with maintenance parties, and regular social events at the hangar. Membership dues of $169/month cover all fixed expenses with an hourly rate of $118/hr wet, with sliding scale discounts at 6-10 and 10+ hours per month. Truly economical flying with an updated panel, in an active club with social and educational opportunities.
