Club Description

Now this is a club that has affordable flying figured out! Formed in 1954, the long lasting success of this club is testimony to the fact that they've figure out how to make flying affordable! The Crossroads Cooperative Flying Club of Albuquerque, NM is an equity style club of 16 pilots who share in the joys of flying while splitting the expenses in an effective and affordable way. The club owns two hangared airplanes based at Double Eagle Airport (KAEG). The first is a Cessna Hawk XP, a well equipped 195 HP high wing aircraft that cruises at 120 knots. The second is a 300 HP Piper Lance, 6 seater that makes family sized trips in/out with WiFi for integration with tablets, a comfortable pleasure. Both airplanes are IFR airplanes with GPS WAAS and ADS-B in/out with WiFi for integration with tablets or other devices. They are great for the local flight or the long cross-country. The club also leases a Cessna 170 for tail wheel instruction. With online scheduling, very open and easy scheduling policies, our members can easily obtain and enjoy the planes for the trips they want to fly. Maybe best of all is the opportunity to join a great group of pilots who all truly enjoy flying and sharing the joys of flying with one another. Want to learn more about joining the club? Cooperative Cross Roads Flying Club is most likely the oldest, continuously operating flying group in the nation. Club is a misnomer as the organization is actually an ownership group. To belong to Cross Roads you must buy into the organization. T…
