Club Description

Comal Aero Inc. is an Incorporated 501(c)(7) Not for Profit Club Based at the New Braunfels National Airport (KBAZ) Located Between San Antonio and Austin, TX. Our Bylaws Provide Ten (10) Member Shares. The Club Does Not Value Individual Member Shares. To Join Comal Aero Inc. You Must Purchase an Existing Share from a Current Member at a Mutually Agreed Upon Price With the Approval of the Majority of the Remaining Members. Shares are Available on an Irregular Basis. Primary Club Asset is 1968 Cessna 182L N42894. Appx. Aircraft Hours: TT 5,800, Engine Rebuilt in 2023 by Western Skyways/ New Hartzell CS Propeller. Venier Controls. Paint/Interior w/Sheepskin Covers are Average. Plane Flies Approx. 150 hours per Year. Stored at City Owned T-Hangars. Electric Tug, Battery Maintainers, Cowling/Other Plugs, XC Gear. Savvy Breakdown Program. Avionics Include: Aspen EFD1000 Pro Max Dual EFI, Garmin GNS 430W GPS, Narco MK12D w/GS, Garmin GTX 327 Xponder, PS Engineering PMA 8000G Audio Panel, Garmin GDL 88 ADS-B (In/Out), Garmin Flight Stream 210 (Bluetooth), S-TEC 30 2 Axis Autopilot, JPI EDM 830 Engine Monitor, USB Ports, Digital Clock and CO Monitor. Pilot Side Lower Panel Upgraded with New Switches/Breakers. Transponder/Pitot Systems Certified to IFR standards. Extra Headsets and RAM Tablet Holders. Online Pilot Scheduling/Maintenance Monitoring. Members Must Maintain FAA Mandated Currencies and Flight Requirements of Insurance company. Reasonable Overnight Stays. Monthly Fees Cover Fixed Costs and Flight Time/Fuel Billed by Tach. No Separate Funds for Engine, Propeller or Avionics Reserves. Special Member Assessments as Needed. Basic maintenance performed by DOM/Club members. FAA Annual Inspections, ADs/SBs compliance performed by local A&P/IA. Club CFI-A available for Safety Pilot, Flight Reviews, Flight Currency and validate FAA Wings program
