The two newest AOPA Air Safety Foundation online courses, Mountain Flying and Engine and Propeller, won ADDY awards last month in the mid-Maryland preliminaries for the national ADDY competition. The American Advertising Federation awards honor the best in advertising, marketing, and communication.
Both ASF trophies came in the Public Service/Interactive category.
Mountain Flying highlights challenges unfamiliar to most flatland fliers, teaching the unique challenges of flying where airport elevations can be higher than a pilot's usual cruise altitude.
Engine and Propeller brings practical engine management and maintenance education to general aviation pilots. Both courses are free and available to all pilots.
