New security proposals don't fit Massachusetts airports

New security proposals don't fit Massachusetts airports

General aviation airports are not governed by the same regulations as air carrier airports. And they shouldn't have the same security measures. That's why AOPA is telling the Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) that a one-size-fits-all approach to airport security is unacceptable. AOPA opposes a proposal to implement airline-style security operations at L.G. Hanscom Field and Worcester Regional airports. AOPA encourages members to read the security proposal and voice their concerns at 2:30 p.m. on September 5 during a meeting in the Media Room at Boston Logan International Airport. AOPA has also urged Massport to allow additional time and opportunities for input from GA pilots.
