Mar. 12, 2004 - With more than 400,000 other AOPA members all hoping to walk away with the better-than-new 1965 Piper Twin Comanche (currently getting a new paint job designed by Scheme Designers at KD Aviation), you might think that your chances of winning are pretty slim. And you'd be right - if the plane was all AOPA was giving away. But it's not!
Nearly 200 people will win a prize in the Win-A-Twin Sweepstakes every month during 2004. Prizes range from AOPA T-shirts and eyeglass lanyards from Croakie® to AOPA Zulu Watches and leather flight jackets from Sporty's Pilot Shop. Said one recent winner, "Out of all the AOPA members, you picked my name?! Wow!" Another said, "I can't believe I won a $300 jacket!" And another jacket winner said he really wants to win the Twin Comanche now, so he has a reason to wear the jacket.
