The 2011 Bahamas and Caribbean Pilot’s Guide is now available on Apple’s iPad. The guide, which has been published continuously since 1979, offers some nice features on the tablet.
In addition to the large photographs, airport, customs, and travel information that the guide has become known for, the iPad version also has a robust search capability. This makes it more user-friendly and easier to work with. There is also a bookmark feature for the user’s favorite airports.
The guide features an aerial photograph of every airport in the Bahamas and Caribbean. There is also information on required documentation and fees; phone numbers; entry procedures for all areas, including the U.S.; and fuel availability.
The application is available from Apple’s App store for $49.95. It’s also still available in print for $56.95; it can be purchased online.
