New iPad mount available for larger aircraft

One of the first questions a new iPad-owning pilot has to answer is where to put the large device in the cockpit. Icarus Instruments is hoping to be the answer for owners of larger aircraft.

The new QRmount attaches to the OEM chart holder found on the yoke of the Socata TBM 700/850, Citation X and Sovereign, Bombardier Challenger 300, Piaggio 180, Learjet 45 and 60, Beechcraft King Airs, and some Hawkers.

The mount is available for the full-size iPad or iPad mini, and can be purchased with an integrated charger that connects to the chart lighting circuit. It’s removable, and can easily turn between portrait and landscape mode.

Available later this month, the QRmount costs $259 for the standard mount and $319 with an included charger.
