AOPA President and RTCA Chairman Craig Fuller will be speaking at the RTCA 2013 Global Aviation Symposium June 5 and 6 in Washington, D.C. The symposium will include a discussion by members of the NextGen Advisory Committee on implementing NextGen, partnerships to facilitate global modernization and expand the global marketplace, how the next generation collision avoidance system (ACAS) will work together with ADS-B and other technologies to enhance efficiency while improving safety, and the evolution toward full integration of unmanned aerial systems into the National Airspace System.
Other speakers include FAA Administrator Michael Huerta, Rep. Bill Shuster (R-Pa.), chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, and Bill Ayer, chairman of Alaska Air Group and the NextGen Advisory Committee.
AOPA is sponsoring the official app for the symposium. The RTCA 2013 mobile app is available on iPad, smartphones (iPhone and Android), a hybrid Web-based app for Blackberry, and a Web-based version of the application for all other Web-browser-enabled phones. The app includes the symposium agenda, speaker bios, sponsorships, a Twitter feed, session ratings, and local Washington, D.C., places.
