Scheme Designers hosts scavenger hunt

Scheme Designers, the design company that creates paint schemes for everything from light sport aircraft to airliners—as well as this year’s AOPA Sweepstakes Debonair—is holding a scavenger hunt at Sun 'n Fun in Lakeland, Fla.

For all of you out there attending the show, here’s the deal. Go to the Scheme Designers booth in Hangar A, pick up an entry form, scour the exhibit area for airplanes with Scheme Designers paint schemes (marked with a Scheme Designers decal), write down as many as you can find, then turn in your completed form to the Scheme Designers booth (A-017) by 4 p.m. April 5.

Clues about the airplanes in the hunt are posted on Scheme Designers’ Facebook page.

Five finalists will be randomly chosen at 5 p.m. the same day, and of those finalists, the winner with the most identified airplanes will also be randomly chosen. The winner will receive an airplane model from Factory Direct Models. It’s a big, good-looking, very detailed, expensive (about $500) model, too, with a wingspan of 18 inches or greater. The winner can have his or her choice of models, be it his or her own airplane or simply a favorite.

AOPA's Sweepstakes Debonair is part of a scavenger hunt at Sun 'n Fun.
