The Feb. 27 announcement of Uflytv, and its initial inventory of more than 220 films ranging in length from three to 60 minutes, included quotes from “corporate consultant” Tom Poberezny, lending his words as well as his recognizable name.

The sizzle reel posted on the Uflytv website includes airshow excerpts, adventure aviation, and clips of interviews with military veterans and other behind-the-scenes action. Some of the collected titles were previously broadcast on cable television by Discovery Communications Inc. networks, and Poberezny said in the press release that the programs selected “meet the highest network television standards.”

Subscription options include one month for $5.95 (seven days free), six months for $27.95, or a full year of access for $49.95. Uflytv plans to expand its offerings to include coverage of “everything from ultralights to airliners and outer space,” and plans are in the works to provide live-stream coverage of aviation events, and produce an aviation news segment.

“Anyone who has a passion for aviation is going to find this series a rewarding and stimulating experience,” Poberezny said in the press release. “Uflytv is the result of a dream and a commitment to story-telling.”
