Dynamic Aviation is one of the most unique and interesting companies we’ve seen offering valuable job opportunities. The family-owned and operated aviation company’s Airborne Data Acquisition (ADA) business segment is seeking pilots who want to build their skills flying missions that enhance the well-being of families and communities around the world. As we visited their headquarters and talked with their leadership, we learned that Dynamic Aviation’s ADA Pilots gain precision flying experience, are challenged to grow and are supported in their development, and travel the world serving great missions.
As a part of their team, you would fly King Air 90s and 200s collecting data for a variety of missions including aerial photography, aerial mapping, geophysical survey, disaster recovery and air sampling. The flying is precise, intense, and hands-on. You will not only build multi-engine hours, but also build your capabilities and experience as a pilot. It won’t be just flying point A to point B. Your unique missions could include: scanning a coastline for scientific research for NASA, test flying a satellite sensor, surveying the snow pack in the Sierra Nevada, or counting seals in the Bering Strait.
Flying as an ADA pilot is an excellent way to build your time, but advancement opportunities abound within Dynamic. First Officers can upgrade to Captain around 1,200 hours. After logging 1,500 flight hours, pilots can transfer into the company’s other two divisions: Public Health & Safety (PH&S) and Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance (ISR). In ISR, you fly missions helping protect our military service members for a 60-day on, 60-day off overseas rotation. In Public Health & Safety, your missions may support wildland firefighting, airborne insect control, oil spill response, and more. Additionally, Dynamic has given many pilots the opportunity to transition into leadership positions throughout the business.
Dynamic’s ADA pilots are flexible and ready for adventure. They average 400 flight hours per year, every hour of it making a difference advancing science and enhancing their capabilities as pilots. With over 50 years of history, Dynamic Aviation owns over 140 aircraft and has operational experience in over 80 countries.. Based at KVBW, a 750 acre privately owned public-use airport in Bridgewater, VA, Dynamic currently employs over 700 aviation professionals, operating from several locations across three continents.
Dynamic offers more than just interesting flying in exciting locations. The company values its people, which you can tell by their tight-knit company culture. Each employee is an integral member of the team, not just a number. From the machine shop, to the cockpit, and all departments in-between, the people of Dynamic share in their attitude of creativity, innovation, and teamwork to serve with excellence.
