Scholarships for aviation degrees

There are thousands of scholarships available to those looking to earn a degree in the aviation field. Offered by schools, employers, private companies, aviation organizations, local communities and a variety of other outlets, scholarships can be awarded based upon academic achievement, interest or financial need. Others are also awarded based on a student’s demographics, such as scholarships for women or those who served in the military.

More effort means more opportunities

Since scholarships are a gift and do not need to be repaid, it is important to take advantage of scholarship opportunities. Many students assume that they will not qualify or be selected as the scholarship recipient so they do not take the time to apply. But the more effort students put in to applying, the more opportunities they have to earn a scholarship.

Some scholarships may even cover the majority of a student’s college tuition, such as California Aeronautical University’s Dreams Take Flight Scholarship.
